Meet The Team

Dr Emma Kennare

Emma is our vet manager at Karratha Veterinary Hospital. Originally from South Australia, she completed her veterinary studies at Murdoch University in Perth, before returning to South Australia. A vacancy at Karratha Vet in 2013 was a good opportunity for her to move to the Pilbara and see more of Australia, as she enjoy camping and four-wheel driving with her partner and their two dogs.

Laura Triner – Veterinary Nurse

Laura has always had a passion for animals, from an eclectic range of animals as child, through to completing a bachelor’s degree in wildlife conservation biology and marine science, and co-ordinating a reptile program at a Perth wildlife shelter. Laura has been working at Karratha Veterinary Hospital, as a nurse and administrator, for over a year and enjoy meeting the different pets and people. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach or just on the couch with her dogs, Dexter and Brax and cat, Kovu- the scorpions, Victor and Zorro but they aren’t allowed on the couch.

Catherine Connell – Veterinary Nurse

Catherine was volunteering at the Karratha Veterinary Hospital for five years, before taking up a fulltime position as veterinary nurse. With her passion for all animals and their welfare, she could not think of a better place to work. She thoroughly enjoys her job and finds it extremely fulfilling.

011Mardi Serle – Veterinary Nurse

Mardi has spent her life in the Pilbara, born in Paraburdoo and spending the last 20 years in Dampier. With a love of animals and a variety of pets over the years, nursing at Karratha Veterinary Hospital is a perfect fit and she is enjoying working and learning more about animals and their medical care.

Eden Willcocks – Kennel hand

Eden is a year 10 student at Karratha Senior High School and has been a kennel hand at Karratha Vet Hospital for six months now and it has given her the inspiration she needed to work hard and study in order to fulfil her dream of becoming a vet one day.
